Partner Gym Code of Conduct

FINA, The Federation of International Ninja Athletics, is committed to providing a competitive, safe, fun, and fair environment for all participants, regardless of geographical location or gym.  We want our Partner Gyms to share this vision for the sport of ninja.  To achieve this goal, we expect our gyms to abide by the following Partner Gym Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by these terms may result in probation, suspension, or expulsion of the Partner Gym from hosting current or future FINA events.  For the purposes of this Code of Conduct, “Partner” refers to ALL EMPLOYEES of the FINA Partner Gym.  Unless specifically noted, this Code of Conduct is in place for the entirety of the season (not just at hosted FINA events), and may be enforced by FINA at any time.  This Code of Conduct will automatically renew at the end of the season, unless specifically modified by FINA, or if the Partner Agreement is terminated by either party at any time.

  • Partner will treat each FINA participant (including, but not limited to: athletes, coaches, officials, parents, and volunteers) with respect and dignity.
  • Partner will prioritize athlete safety at all times.
  • Partner will work to provide fair and equitable competition for all athletes.
  • Partner will not disparage, insult, or demonstrate/encourage any other type of unsportsmanlike behavior in words or actions towards another gym, coach, athlete, official, or volunteer.
  • During Partner’s FINA events, Partner will not show favoritism towards any one athlete or group of athletes.
  • During Partner’s FINA events, Partner will uphold the Spirit of the Obstacle.
  • During Partner’s FINA events, Partner will encourage the athletes to challenge themselves against the course, not against the other athletes.

By electronically signing this document, this authorized representative of the Partner Gym is agreeing to abide by the Code of Conduct listed above, and agrees to hold all employees of the FINA Partner Gym to the same standards for the duration of the current and future seasons.  Signor acknowledges that this Partner Gym Code of Conduct will be made public on the FINA website, and agrees to all potential actions that may take place in the event of agreement violation.

*In the event that a FINA Athlete, Partner Gym employee, or Partner Gym is involved in a legal situation that may impact the safety (whether real or perceived) of the Athletes, Partner Gyms, or FINA organization, create an undue distraction to the event, competition, or sport of Ninja, or have a potential negative impact on the reputation of FINA, its events, or affiliates, FINA reserves the right to temporarily remove the Athlete or Partner Gym in question (and request the removal of the Partner Gym Employee, if applicable) from FINA events, without prejudice, until the legal process has fully played out.  Once the legal situation has been resolved, adjudicated, or ruled on, FINA will make a final determination on any potential future involvement of the named Athlete, Partner Gym employee, or Partner Gym in question.
